NewActon Nishi—designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects—has won multiple architectural awards including ‘International Project of the Year’ at the 2015 Building Awards in London. The NewActon precinct won Australian Institute of Architects Walter Burley Griffin Award for Urban Design in 2015.
Clear worked closely with the design team to create an integrated signage package for the Department of Climate Change, Palace Electric Cinema communal spaces and the residential area of the Nishi— building. Design and selection of material responded to the building’s environmental credentials and was strongly influenced by its unique architectural forms.
