Clear Design Insolation Diaries Volume17 Reading

You can never go wrong with Murakami when you’re looking to explore humanity and the depth of relationships. If you’re in need of wholesome and inspiring imagery, NoBrow is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a special edition of their magazine. Themed around ‘Studio Dreams’, over 70 artists are featured in over 100 pages of beautiful illustrations. It must be the week for anniversaries. Colour is therapy and Josef Albers’s Interaction of Colour has been re-released as a 50th anniversary edition. This version is bigger. Quite literally, it’s been expanded to include sixty colour studies alongside the original text.

Like us, you’re probably very curious about Jeff Goldblum’s thoughts on certain objects, and you’d like to see him explore the worlds of, say, denim, or ice cream. What can we say? The man can make pools so very interesting. Homemade is an anthology series of short films, produced during this ’demic. The films range in length and theme, from insomnia to modern technology and even sci-fi. Some are even shot on smartphones and handheld devices. Clear Design Insolation Diaries Volume17 Making

This week we’re making these very unconventional tacos, which feature roasted broccoli, potatoes and fried eggs. Delicious. Time to mask up, Melbourne. Today is a great day to get used to wearing a face covering outdoors, as from tomorrow they’ve been made mandatory. Flatten the curve (and avoid the $200 fine) by making your own. There are plenty of free patterns available for every skillset, ranging from no-sew to traditional pleated surgical masks. We think everyone might value some good news this week, so here are some really cute penguins living their best lives while in quarantine.

Clear Design Insolation Diaries Volume17 Listening

Discover the artworks inspired by love, with Tate’s The Art of Love podcast, where journalist and—allegedly—‘the funniest guy on Instagram’, Raven Smith explores the experiences of love that are expressed in art. Our latest playlist is a bit of a mixed bag, but it’s all medication for your ears. ArtCurious is an art history podcast that covers the unexpected, the slightly odd and the strangely wonderful. Don’t be fooled, this one isn’t just artspeak, it’s about the weird stories behind the art and the lives of the artists themselves. You’ll be hooked.
